He graduated from School of Dental Medicine in State University of New York at Buffalo, where he earned the degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) with minor in Fixed Prosthodontics. In addition, he finished his general practice residency at Kaleida Health, which includes Buffalo General Hospital, Erie Count Medical Center, Buffalo Children’s Hospital, and etc., where he gained experience treating medically compromised patients and patients with special needs in a hospital setting. He practiced in Family First Health at York, Pennsylvania as a senior staff dentist and contributed his dental skills to the community and earned valuable experience and pleasure in dentistry.

The key to Dr. Yoon’s method in practicing dentistry has been combining conservative methodology and technological advances for evidence based dentistry. With his on-going pursuit of continuing education for himself and his team, they have the opportunity to stay abreast of the latest advances in dentistry. Since he graduated from dental school, he has been taking many intensive dental courses to stay current in all the different specialties of dentistry, such as endodontics (root-canal-therapy), implants, orthodontics (Invisalign certified), cosmetic dentistry, and microscope enhanced dentistry.

Dr. Yoon enjoys helping others and volunteers for several organizations. His hobbies are skiing, photography, playing musical instruments and tennis. Dr. Yoon is happily married with two boys, Brian and Luke, and resides in Fairfax area.

He graduated from Faculty of Dentistry at University of Toronto in Canada where he earned the degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) with honors. He finished his Periodontics specialty program and Master’s Degree in Oral Biology at the University of Michigan in Ann Abor. He was awarded the Lazzara Fellowship by both the American Academy of Periodontology (A.A.P.) and the Official Association for Periodontics Specialists in USA, which is given to only one selected post-graduate periodontics specialty resident each year for his excellence in implant surgery and prosthesis. He has been a board-certified diplomate by American Board of Periodontology since 2005. He served as a full-time assistant professor at the University of Michigan and the University of Maryland for the graduate periodontics program for over 6 years and is currently practicing together with Dr.Yoon to serve the Fairfax community since 2010.

His major accomplishment throughout his career includes scientific publications in numerous internationally recognized peer-reviewed journals, including Journal of Periodontology, Clinical Oral Implant Research, International Journal of Oral Maxillofacial Implants, Implant Dentistry, and more. He has won numerous national clinical research competitions. His sub-specialty is human bone regeneration for preparation of the implant placement. Dr.Park sees that success of dental implants depend on the quality and quantity of bone regenerated, and his extensive clinical/scientific background in bone regeneration will make a difference in long-term success of the implant therapy.

Dr.Park has been extensively trained in and practices full range of periodontal procedures, both surgical and non-surgical, and in implant dentistry. He provides management of periodontal disease (“gum disease”), restoring oral cosmetics, reconstructing single to full-mouth missing conditions, and managing the periodontal/implant surgical complications.
Dr.Park approachs each and every one of his patients very personably and kindly. However, he takes his specialty very seriously and professionally, as the surgical aspect of dentistry/medicine should be. He is very happy to be a dental surgical specialist serving for the wellness of the Fairfax community.
